TUT Student Portal and Exam Information

The TUT Student Portal gives students access to examination and graduation information. It also provides access to services such as subject history, financial status, student emails, and password reset.

The TUT examination section includes:

  • About Exam

Exam Fees

TUT may withhold a student’s examination results when there are outstanding fees or library material.

The outstanding amount must be paid in full or the library material must be returned before the results are published. There is an exception for supplementary examination results, which can still be published when fees or library material are outstanding.

TUT’s examination rules also state that students with outstanding TUT debts may still write an examination, but their results can remain unpublished until the outstanding amount has been settled.

Supplementary Examination Results

TUT publishes the results of students who qualify for supplementary examinations according to its publication schedule.

A supplementary examination takes place directly after the main examination. Under TUT’s examination rules, a student who fails a module or subject in the main examination but obtains a final mark of at least 45% may qualify for a supplementary examination. Other rules can also apply, such as minimum requirements for individual question papers.

Students should check the official TUT information to confirm whether they qualify for a supplementary examination.

Examination Publication Schedule

TUT asks students to check the Examination Publication Schedule for official result publication dates. The schedule provides the dates students should use when checking for their results.

If your results are not available yet, check the relevant publication schedule before submitting an enquiry.

Result Enquiry

Students who have a question about their examination results can submit an examination result enquiry through the prescribed process.

TUT’s examination rules state that enquiries about examination results should be submitted on the prescribed form to Academic Administration within 30 days of the publication of the results.

Students should follow the applicable deadline and use the official TUT examination enquiry process.

Viewing and Re-marking of Examination Scripts

Students can apply to view their examination scripts after paying the prescribed fee. The application must reach Academic Administration before the published closing date for examination enquiries.

A student can also request a re-check or re-mark of an examination script, subject to the prescribed fee and deadline. If the result changes in certain circumstances, TUT’s rules provide for a refund of the fixed fee.
